HP OfficeJet 6810 Driver and Manual
The multifunction device HP OfficeJet 6810 is designed for the small office. In addition to printing, scanning, and copying, it can also fax. At the same time, HP attaches great importance to mobile control via smartphone or tablet PC. The combination device supports the Apple Airprint and Google Cloud print standards as well as the manufacturer’s HP ePrint solution. If you want to access the multifunction device without going through a router, use WiFi Direct. This is how the manufacturer’s HP All-in-One Printer Remote app comes into its own. With it, you can not only print but also scan and monitor the Officejet model. In the test, this works without any problems. The HP OfficeJet 6810 offers the entire range of interfaces with USB, WLAN, and Ethernet. In addition, there is a USB host connection on the front of the device. However, the connections cannot be used at the same time: If you are using USB and want to switch to WLAN, you have to disconnect the device from the USB connector. The network driver is already installed on the computer. When changing the interface, it is simply installed. The paper cassette is designed for 225 sheets – a decent stock. A maximum of 60 sheets of paper must be sufficient for this. The automatic document feeder can hold up to 35 sheets. The HP OfficeJet 6810 is easy to operate using the color display. The high-quality touch screen reacts quickly to finger pressure. The multifunction machine can automatically print on both sides. However, a duplex scan function is not provided. Inside the HP OfficeJet 6810 are four individual cartridges for the colors blue, red, yellow and black. The cartridges are available in standard and XL ranges. In the best-case scenario, you get 2.7 cents for the black and white and 6.2 cents for the colored sheet – these are acceptable page prices. In terms of power consumption, we measured 1.9 watts at rest via USB. When WLAN is activated, the energy requirement increases only marginally to 2.0 watts – more of the inaccuracy of measurement. However, the consumption of 0.3 watts when switched off is unnecessary. The printing unit of the HP OfficeJet 6810 is mature and delivers good results. The printouts are fine even on plain paper. Mixed documents with images and graphics have fairly strong coverage, but at the same time show good details. The evaluation of the colors reveals an over-saturation in the areas of red and blue, which we don’t find annoying with the naked eye. According to the analysis, the scanner also has too strong blue and red tones. The sharpness of the scans is also right down to the depth. the HP OfficeJet 6810 proves to be a well-equipped all-round combination device that can be used at home as well as in the office. The fax function speaks for the office, for a home it is the fact that it can print borderless and has all the relevant mobile functions. The quality of the prints, scans, and copies is impressive. The pace could have been higher, especially when scanning. In return, the page costs remain acceptable even if you print and copy again.
