The HP Deskjet 3637 is an affordable multifunction printer for private users. With the three functions – print, scan, and copy – all tasks in the home office can be done well and easily. With the right photo paper, you can also print out color-intensive photos. The printer is not the fastest ink printer, but its prints were convincing. This multifunction printer is characterized by a high print quality of 4800 × 1200 DPI for color printing and 1200 × 1200 DPI for black and white printing. This is one of the few advantages that inkjet printers bring with them: The print quality is simply better. The print speed of 8.5 pages per minute is a bit above average. The scan quality of the HP Deskjet 3630 is 1200 × 1200 dpi. This is a good value for most multifunction devices. Higher scan DPI numbers are rather rare with multi-function printers. The usability of this device is great. It is very easy to set up and is also suitable for less experienced users. Replacing the cartridges is also child’s play: after opening the cover, it is shown exactly where the respective cartridges are to be inserted. The HP Deskjet 3637 also has some apps for the smartphone in the scope of delivery, which ensures that the device can be used quickly. One of them is, for example, the “All-in-One Remote” from HP. This can be used, among other things, to start the scan with the app. You don’t even have to boot your PC – the app then provides a preview directly. The documents can then be saved in the cloud, from where they can also be printed using the app. The app also offers a function that allows you to capture and print photos using a mobile phone camera. You can also print photos from the smartphone gallery. Printing is done via USB cable or wirelessly via WiFi. You can also print out images or documents directly from your smartphone or tablet. To configure the HP Deskjet 3637 printer, you must first connect the printer to a computer/notebook using the USB cable provided. Settings for the device such as WLAN connection can only be made via the HP software for the multifunction device.
