HP OfficeJet Pro 9028 Manual (User Guide and Setup Poster)

With the HP OfficeJet Pro 9028, HP has presented an inkjet all-in-one, which could certainly be of interest to one or the other. At first glance, the device makes a very compact impression compared to a laser all-in-one. The all-in-one measures 44 x 55 x 32 centimeters and is, as is usual for multifunctional devices, a printer, scanner, copier, and fax in one. There is no unusual design here, but it doesn’t have to be. In terms of materials, you will also find what you would expect from a printer. Plastic as far as the eye can see, is sometimes better and sometimes less well-made. The flap that makes the print head accessible is only attached to the device with two thin plastic “arms” that do not appear particularly stable. The question then arises whether something might break after the tenth opening. The scanning unit including the automatic document feeder is located on the top. So you can scan more than one sheet of paper – 35 sheets maximum – at once on both sides and, thanks to the duplex unit, also copy on both sides. It is of course also possible to use the glass scan panel for single scans. In addition to the touchscreen, there is also a USB port installed on the front, which can be used, for example, to print from USB sticks. HP OfficeJet Pro 9028 can be connected quickly because only the power cable and the USB cable have to be plugged in. If you want to use the fax functionality, you can also plug in the corresponding cable. Since the printer has a WLAN unit, you can do it wirelessly. The small 6.75-centimeter colored touch panel lights up and guides you through the facility. In addition to the HP Smart app for the desktop PC or Mac, this can also be done completely via the mobile HP Smart app. So you don’t even need a computer to use the printer, which is a plus. Sure, the touchscreen isn’t that big, but that’s enough in combination with the app. Back to the app that recognizes the HP OfficeJet Pro 9028 printer directly and wants to connect to the WiFi. After setup, all functions are available to you both via the desktop app and mobile. You can carry out scans directly from your mobile phone and then either store the documents on the USB stick, on a network drive, in the cloud or SharePoint or send them by email. The control elements of the touchscreen also offer all the functions that you can find in the apps. The navigation is understandable from the start, even if you are not a nerd. Incidentally, you can also map small workflows with the so-called Smart Tasks. So if you want to do certain things over and over again and save a few taps on the touchscreen, you can create a Smart Task for this and then address it with a tip.
