The HP DeskJet 4255e is a versatile and easy-to-use printer that is perfect for home use. Its main advantages include easy setup and the ability to print from various devices. Simplicity is also evident in the paper feed. The Deskjet does not have effective dust protection in the form of a paper cassette, up to 60 sheets can be inserted via the open rear feed – measured in normal paper. However, it is possible to use glossy paper (up to 300 g/m²) or other thicker media. Its high print quality is particularly useful for both text documents and photos, making it a good solution for families, students and home office users looking for a reliable printer for everyday tasks. In standard quality, the small Deskjet achieves a speed of 8.5 ipm (A4 prints per minute) in black and white and up to 5.5 ipm in color. It measured values applied to simplex printing by the ISO standard. The HP DeskJet 4255e is equipped with an A4 flatbed module for digitizing originals or for making copies on the device. The CIS sensor (as usual without depth of field) has a native resolution of 1,200 dpi. Multi-page documents of up to 35 sheets can also be inserted into the ADF (automatic document feeder) and scanned in one go. Only the front side is processed in the form of A4 sheets with a grammage of 60 to 90 g/m². To operate the printer, we recommend using the HP “Smart App”, which is pretty good. This is not only available for Android and iOS but also for Windows and MacOS for desktop devices – no other manufacturer offers this variety of operating systems.
