The HPE MSA 2062 supports up to 24 SFF drives or 12 LFF drives per enclosure, with expansion of up to nine additional drive enclosures. Depending on the configuration, maximum raw capacity reaches approximately 7.37PB with SFF drives or 2.88PB with LFF drives. It supports SSDs as well as enterprise and midline SAS hard drives, allowing customers to balance performance and storage capacity.
Its dual-controller architecture provides redundant storage paths, while 24GB of system cache and up to 8TB of read cache support demanding workloads. HPE lists benchmark performance of up to 395,000 random-read IOPS, 161,500 random-write IOPS, 13.1GB/s sequential reads, and 7.3GB/s sequential writes with SSD configurations. The HPE MSA 2062 also includes enterprise storage features such as thin provisioning, space reclamation, thin rebuild, automated tiering, snapshots, volume copy, remote replication, and Quality of Service controls. It supports up to 512 volumes and 512 snapshots, making it suitable for virtualisation, databases, backup environments, and general business applications. It can be configured with 16Gb Fibre Channel, 10/25GbE iSCSI, 1/10GBase-T iSCSI, or 12Gb SAS controllers.
