The paper compartment holds around 300 A4 sheets, which should accommodate larger workgroups. An automatic document feeder is available for scans and copies, but it only works on one side. According to the technical data, the printing unit was taken over from the previous series. The nominal resolution for printing is 600 dpi in color at a speed of 27 ipm. With duplex printing, the devices can still output 24 ipm. This corresponds to twelve complete sheets. A paper cassette for 250 sheets and a manual feed for an additional 50 sheets (up to 176 g / m²) are installed as standard. Another 550-sheet magazine (CF404A) can be attached below the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479dw printer as an option. Paper from the cassettes is limited to grammages in the range of 60 to 163 g / m².
