The HP DeskJet 2855e is an entry-level inkjet printer accessible to everyone. If it is not intended for professionals who need to print large quantities of pages, it should satisfy occasional use for family or students, for example. As it does not have an automatic document feeder, the printer remains very compact (42.5 x 30.4 x 15.4 cm). It also weighs only 3.4 kg, which makes it easily movable if necessary. It is also very basic and the keys which allow some adjustments or to launch copies are not the most flattering. They are linked to a small, very simple control screen which displays in particular the number of copies to be made or the quantity of ink remaining. Sheets are loaded only from the rear and the tray has a capacity of 60 sheets. However, it is not possible to print in automatic double-sided mode, a very practical feature, but generally reserved for high-end models. The print quality is very good. The flow rate is, however, quite long (9.1 ppm in black and white and 8 ppm in color). The printer can scan a grayscale document in 4 seconds (at 100 dpi), which is very fast. On the other hand, scanning a 10 x 15 cm photo at 300 dpi took much longer (15 s). Copying an A4 sheet in color takes 18 seconds, which is normal. In monochrome, the printer was much more efficient since it only took 7 seconds. Whether printing, scanning or copying, with WLAN and Bluetooth it is also possible wirelessly. Integrate the wireless printer into your local network and use it together – without tangled cables. This is possible thanks to the integrated WLAN module. The HP DeskJet 2855e connects via WiFi, and although a port is available behind it for a USB connection.
