HP OfficeJet 5222 Manual (User and Setup Guide)

Careful design and ease of use are undoubtedly recurring strengths of HP printers. This HP OfficeJet 5222 is no exception to the rule and has even – rare enough to be emphasized – elicited “Oh! This printer is pretty”. With dimensions (45 x 41 x 19 cm) well contained for a 4-in-1 model, it will fit easily on a desk corner. Its 6.75 cm screen is tactile and greatly contributes to ease of use. The menus are clear and navigation is intuitive. The presence of a USB port and a card reader on the front makes it easy to print photos. For those who find that these are so-called, “old school” means, NFC and Wi-Fi Direct are also part of the game. The paper tray allows the storage of 100 A4 sheets. There is also a dedicated photo paper tray, handy so you don’t have to constantly change the contents of a single tray. The all-in-one printer can scan, fax, and of course print and copy. The HP OfficeJet 5222 offers decent throughput for office printing (16 ppm black and white and 12 ppm color). The scanner is a bit long to relax since – whether for an A4 document or a 10 x 15 photo – the printer will take 20 seconds to display a scanned version on the screen. The presence of the automatic document feeder, however, greatly improves the time required for scanning and copying a series of pages, even double-sided. All functions can also be operated using Apple AirPrint and the in-house HP ePrint app on smartphones and tablets. This printer is energy efficient. It consumes only 10 W in operation and drops below the Watt in standby. It also remains very quiet, since we only find 46 dB (A) on average, where many struggle to fall below the 50 dB (A) mark. Overall, this HP OfficeJet 5222 is a 4-in-1 inkjet that has it all. Connected thanks to Wi-Fi Direct and NFC, equipped with a touch screen and a card reader, it even has the luxury of offering a rather pleasant design. The Officejet range is intended for telecommuters and small businesses that do not have very large printing needs.
