The HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 is tailored for office tasks. In addition to printing, scanning, and copying, it also handles faxing. What the printer brings is designed for everyday work in the office. The paper tray holds a maximum of 225 sheets, and up to 35 originals can be inserted into the automatic feeder. The multifunction printer also has a duplex unit that automatically prints the front and back of a sheet. This also works in copy mode – commendable. You operate the HP model via a touchscreen that reacts properly to finger pressure. As an inkjet printer with a very low print resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi, which appears very little on paper. For office operations and the focus on text printing, this is of little relevance, which users happily confirm: Letters are sharp and surfaces are homogeneous. With a scan resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, you can make copies or document scans in good quality. Testers criticize the very slow speed at which the copier works and the occasional false color in color copies. The quality of the scans, which are still sharp despite everything, is sufficient for occasional use. With the help of the automatic document feeder, the HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 is ideal for scanning large documents because you don’t have to load each sheet individually. In addition, the printer offers a wide range of wireless interfaces, fax functions, and duplex printing to conveniently print on both sides of the paper. However, the current model lacks the USB host interface, which you can print directly from the stick or store scans there. However, that’s not the only difference. You can choose between USB, WLAN, and Ethernet for the connections. The HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 also establishes a Wi-Fi direct connection. With Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint, you can wirelessly send documents to the printer via your cloud or WiFi. The OfficeJet Pro 6960 also has an ePrint function with which you can send print jobs by e-mail. Users, however, complain that wireless printing is very sluggish. HP provides the necessary software on the manufacturer’s site and according to test reports, the initial setup of the HP OfficeJet Pro 6962 is quick and easy. However, the process takes a relatively long time and some inexperienced users complain that the installation is a bit cumbersome.
