The HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 is a multifunction device that can be used for scanning, faxing, copying and printing. The model uses inkjet technology. Devices of this type are therefore particularly suitable for private use. The printer is a laser printer with a 3in1 function. Multi-page documents can be processed unattended because the automatic document feeder (ADF) can feed up to 35 sheets. When copying, a resolution of at most 600 x 600 dpi is achieved, which is an average value. The interfaces such as Ethernet 10/100 and USB 2.0 and above all WLAN enable the printer to be shared in an office. The operating systems Linux, Mac OS X, Windows 10, Windows 7 and Windows 8 are supported with HP OfficeJet Pro 7740. Functions such as Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, HP ePrint, Mopria, and WiFi Direct are supported. Due to the Wi-Fi Direct mode, which creates an ad hoc network, neither an existing network nor an internet connection or a password is required.
