The “smart” and “revolutionary” ones, however, can do less than their predecessors. The successor devices of the HP OfficeJet Pro 8020e series are intended for small to medium-sized offices, but you have to make compromises when it comes to professional use. The changes should not affect the “normal” user. Ultimately, with these models, HP offers everything that competitive models can do and no other unique selling points. The printer comes with its slim, simple design, and has “deteriorated” the least. Nevertheless, this device is an all-in-one multifunction device with the functions of printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. HP OfficeJet Pro 8020e has in common a largely smudge-proof pigment ink for color and black. This includes a scanner with ADF and at least printing with a duplex function. Some of the new products are slightly more expensive than their predecessors. Furthermore, the Ethernet interface and a color touchscreen will be missing. This is replaced by an even smaller 2.2-inch monochrome touch display. Printing from a USB stick is no longer possible with this model. Only photos from the internal memory can be processed.
