HP Photosmart 5520 Manual (User Guide and How to Setup)
The HP Photosmart 5520 is one of the manufacturer’s entry-level combination devices. But it has many features. A duplex unit for automatic printing on the front and back of a sheet is built in. There is a touchscreen on the front of the housing, via which the multifunction device can be easily operated without a PC. The paper tray only holds a maximum of 80 sheets and also serves as a storage space for the finished prints and copies. The results of the printer are correct in the quality tests. The multifunction device produces texts with decent black coverage, even if the edges of the letters are somewhat rough. The ink application in color prints is rich, the colors are bright and harmonious. This also applies to the photo edition. While scanning, the device overdraws the colors red and blue, but delivers both round and sharp scans. The copies also have good ink coverage without losing details. In the speed test, the HP Photosmart 5520 worked out a divided result: The printing unit delivered decent times. This is shown by about ten pages of text printing in 57 seconds. The result with ten color pages from Acrobat is also impressive with 2:48 minutes. On the other hand, the scan unit is in no hurry. It takes about as long to create a preview as a full-color scan – this is unusual. At the same time, this fact is also at the expense of copying times. The multifunctional device uses USB and WLAN as connections. Thanks to the wireless interface, the printer is also capable of mobile printing – for example via Apple Airprint or HP ePrint. At the same time, you can also print directly from a memory card. The slots are located behind a flap. Due to its flat design, the HP Photosmart 5520 is recommended for parking spaces with limited space above, such as on shelves. The multifunctional device with an automatic duplex unit and touchscreen offer good features for the price range. At the same time, it can also convince in terms of quality and keeps the follow-up costs for electricity and ink within acceptable limits. Overall, a well-rounded offer for users who do not print too much.
