HP PageWide Pro 452dn Manual (User Guide and Install Guide)

With its fast print speed and automatic duplex printing, the HP printer saves time in the office. When speed is of the essence, the HP PageWide Pro 452dn might be the right choice. With its high printing speed and large paper compartment, the inkjet printer is a hard-working helper in medium-sized and large offices. As a network printer or via WLAN, the device can be operated by up to ten users. Documents are stored in the internal 512-megabyte memory and processed in the order in which they are received. With 40 pages on standard A4 paper and 21 photos per minute, the printer even beats many a laser printer in terms of printing speed. This is due to the PageWide technology from HP, which prints from several fixed printheads and ink nozzles. The paper is fed to the printer from a paper cassette with a capacity of 500 sheets – this should survive a normal office day. Up to now, only the manufacturer’s information on the resolution has provided information on B / W print quality. The print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi for printouts in black and white and 2,400 x 1,200 dpi for color documents is perfectly adequate for most office applications. If you want to print high-quality photos, you are better off with a photo printer. A plus point, however, is the duplex function for the automatic printing of double-sided documents. In the printer context, the HP PageWide Pro 452dn offers a practical duplex mode for double-sided printing or to save paper, as well as an automatic feed. That’s solid, nothing more. The printer owes this to the new PageWide technology, which has replaced the four movable print heads common in inkjet printing with a fixed, page-wide push rod. This has around 42,000 tiny paint nozzles that simultaneously apply ink to the paper. The document is simply pulled under the printhead – a technique that has proven to be extremely time-saving. The connection area is very good. The device receives print jobs wirelessly from the tablet or iPhone via WLAN and Airprint; fans of a stable network connection use LAN and a USB is also on board. A lot has also happened in terms of network capabilities. The HP PageWide Pro 452dn can be controlled as a network printer by up to ten users and can therefore be integrated even better into a larger office environment than its predecessor. HP has upgraded security and management functions in particular. This actually enables very clever tools to be activated: For example, a PIN is required to access a print job. Sounds strange at first, but can be very useful when it comes to very confidential data.
